CCC Certification: Test Items for Induction Cookers

An induction cooker (also known as an induction hob) heats cookware through electromagnetic induction. Induction cookers fall under Category 7 "Household and Similar Electrical Appliances" of the CCC product catalogue, specifically subcategory 0711 "Induction Cookers". This means induction cookers are within the scope of mandatory CCC certification​ and must obtain it. Products that have not obtained a Compulsory Product Certification certificate and do not bear the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) mark may not be manufactured for sale, imported, or sold.

I. Scope of Application

1. Induction cookers with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V​ for single-phase appliances, and not exceeding 480 V​ for other appliances.
    
2. Appliances that heat food or water contained in a metal vessel by means of an electromagnetic coil element.
    
3. Includes both single-burner​ and multi-burner​ induction cookers.

III. Certification Process (Overview)

1. Sign the certification contract;
    
2. Submit product technical documents (circuit diagrams, BOM, user manual, etc.);
    
3. Send samples to a designated laboratory for testing;
    
4. Factory inspection (initial factory audit);
    
5. Conformity assessment → issuance of the CCC certificate;
    
6. Affixing of the CCC mark.

IV. Important Notes

1. Products that have not obtained the CCC certificate and do not bear the CCC mark may not be manufactured for sale, imported, or sold.
    
2. CCC is a market-access system. GB 4706.29​ is the core testing basis. An EU CE report cannot be directly substituted​ for a CCC application, as the two differ in areas such as abnormal operation test methods and temperature rise limits.
    
3. When purchasing an induction cooker, consumers should look for the CCC mark​ on the product.
